A recording has surfaced in the town of Warner that accuses two city employees of making racial slurs.
The two employees accused of making those slurs resigned Wednesday and people who live in Warner said that recording is sending shockwaves through their small town.
Just after learning Joe Swimmer and Matt McLean had resigned, their former co-worker Michael Wittmer was given a warm embrace by community leaders and others.
“I commended him for taking the stand over and against the fact that he could be retaliated against,” said Reverend Rodger Cutler with St. Mark Baptist Church in Muskogee.
Wittmer said he recorded the men making racial slurs in reference to Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
In the recording, you can hear employees say:
Employee 1: “We get Martin Luther King Day off?”
Employee 2: “No n***** day for us.”
Employee 1: “We’re off for n***** day?”
Employee 2: “Yes.”
Employee 1: “It says holidays, we take holidays.”
Employee 2: “I’m not celebrating n***** day.”
Employee: “We can just call it JER Day.James Earl Ray. That’s what we always celebrate. Not that we don’t like black people.”
Employee: “I’m not racist. I’m just saying that’s what it’s called here.”Wittmer said he started taping conversations with his co-workers in July of last year to protect his job.
Rev. Rodger Cutler said while he is satisfied with the outcome, he hopes the town will take the investigation seriously.
“Did their public jobs affect any African Americans? Did their position effect those persons of color? That’s what needs to be looked into,” said Cutler.

If black people made jokes about Hitler Day. And called it “cracka day” or sumpin. Imagine how angry nazis would be. They’d prolly be so mad that they’d burn down they neighborhoods. And steal some cheap wine and shit. Fo real.
At least that snitch called the NAACP on his co-workers. He prolly a racist, too. And you know his hillbilly-ass be sayin the n word all da time. But he was just lookin for a reason to get his co-workers fired. Cause they was tryin to fire his lazy ass. But I ain’t trippin. Knowmsayin.
I think it be funny when white mufuckas call each other racist and shit. It just show how stupid they be. I ain’t ever heard a brotha call another brotha a racist. If a nigga called me a racist, I’d laugh in that nigga’s face. Then tell that nigga to suck muh dik. Fo real.
If a black person snitched on another black person and got they ass fired for sayin some shit about white folks. Sheeit. That nigga would get his wig split. Fo real. Errybody in the hood would be like, “that nigga’s a snitchin ass nigga. Fuck that uncle Tom ass nigga.”
I remember when this one nigga brought this fat white hoe to the hood. She was ugly den a mug. And some nigga axed that hoe for some roadhead or sumpin. That nigga got mad and shit. Said don’t be talkin to his bitch like that. So we was like, “fuck this nigga.”
That night when they was sexin in they house or whatever, we all went and pooped on that nigga’s porch. It was about 20 of us. When that fat hoe left she walked right through that shit. She was knee-deep in a pile of nigga shit. It was funny as a mufucka. Fo real.
